The Sierra
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta begins where it ends of the beach. It is the highest coastal mountain in the world, and all this is just minutes away.
Tayrona Park
Pristine beaches and trails of the jungle. Entry for the sector Chestnut, minutes. Trails of one to two hours until The Pool and Cabo San Juan.
Waterfall Valencia
15 minutes. Walk flat of 25 minutes between stalls of local food to natural pools where you can swim.
Tubing the rio Buritaca
Down the river float between the jungle. Plan a half-day, ideal for evenings warm.
Palomino, less than an hour
Climbing up the Trunk of the Caribbean arrive at Palomino, where the river is low in the Sierra Nevada, and flows directly into the sea. Is your full-day excursion more ordered in the area.

The plan star. Upload 15 minutes by bike or van, you walk for 25 minutes through the jungle, carrying the float and low between hour and a half and two hours down river to where the fresh water meets the sea.
The mouth

Surf and the town
Open beach with good waves for surfing, and a small town with restaurants, craft wayuu and local market to spend the afternoon.
The culture alive
This is a land of villages Kogui, Arhuaco, Wiwa and Kankwano, descendants of the Tayrona. It is not a set: to continue to live in the Sierra.
Lost City
Trek of several days on trails, rivers and jungle to the ancient city of civilization Tayrona, founded in the year 700 d. C.: 650 years earlier than Machu Picchu. Is organized from here.

Without leaving the home

Beach Los Angeles
A 10-minute walk of the arena. Controlled access, very quiet and natural, with parking, restrooms, and showers.
Playa Los Cocos
2 minutes by car or bus. - Free access, kiosks, rice, seafood, and sunsets golden.
Beach Mendihuaca
5 minutes. The more lively, with music and restaurants. In the end, the river Mendihuaca flows into the sea.
Where to eat near
The à la carte breakfast is included and the gastrobar is open on the sand. For the rest of the day, the area gives plenty: there is a restaurant just opposite with dining room next to the pool, and just a few minutes you find a pizzeria in the wood-burning oven tacos-grilled barrel, seafood soup caribbean with coconut rice and arepas de yuca with melted cheese. 20 minutes is a factory craft with 37 varieties of cheese, yogurt and organic ghee.
